- People often forget God’s intervention in their lives and rather than take those times and further develop and recognize a Godly legacy we revert back to old sin

- The king was prideful, stubborn, selfish and was unwilling to recognize God and further the legacy of his grandfather by honoring the God of Israel
- By now Daniel was familiar with his role/purpose toward the Babylonian king, despite how it might have put him in an undesirable and uncomfortable position
- Daniel was steadfast in his service to God as the person who was to hold the kings accountable to God
- What is our response when we find ourselves in situations like Daniel? What action do you take when it comes to defending and promoting Truth and who God is?
- Belshazzar was weighed, measured and found wanting … Daniel was harsh and direct in telling him so
- Part of our service to the Lord is that we be a living testimony-–a living sacrifice—so that others may know Him

- IS THERE SOMEONE IN YOUR LIFE WHO CONSISTENTLY LOOKS FOR AN EXCUSE TO NOT FOLLOW GOD? HOW DO YOU NAVIGATE THAT?
- WHEN YOU FIND GOD REACHING OUT TO YOU HOW DO YOU RESPOND? IS IT JOYOUS OR WITH CONTENTION?
- WHAT SORT OF RISKS HAVE YOU FACED WHEN IT CAME TO REPRESENTING TRUTH?
