ABF 19.39 LN

  • Good Morning!
  • How do we handle people and situations where there is open mockery of God?
  • God triumphs over every attempt man makes at suppressing Him
  • Genesis 12: 3
  • Our allegiance to God puts us at odds with people who attempt to suppress or deny Him
  • Victory in Christ allows us to use our own trauma and history toward furthering God’s kingdom and glory
  • Daniel 5: 1-9
  • People often forget God’s intervention in their lives and rather than take those times and further develop and recognize a Godly legacy we revert back to old sin
  • V. 13-31
  • The king was prideful, stubborn, selfish and was unwilling to recognize God and further the legacy of his grandfather by honoring the God of Israel
  • By now Daniel was familiar with his role/purpose toward the Babylonian king, despite how it might have put him in an undesirable and uncomfortable position
  • Daniel was steadfast in his service to God as the person who was to hold the kings accountable to God
  • What is our response when we find ourselves in situations like Daniel? What action do you take when it comes to defending and promoting Truth and who God is?
  • Belshazzar was weighed, measured and found wanting … Daniel was harsh and direct in telling him so
  • Part of our service to the Lord is that we be a living testimony-–a living sacrifice—so that others may know Him
  • Romans 12: 1-5
