GOOD MORNING
•There are many pressures in life that take us away from God’s peace
•Being “half cocked” in God’s peace does not properly prepare us for what we face in life
•Appeal to God for peace and seek His favor
•Psalm 90
•Philippians 1: 21
•Psalm 20: 7-9
•Psalm 21
•Do you pray for the Lord’s favor?
•We put many obstacles in our own way, not least of which ourselves. We don’t deserve God’s favor, we need to work extra for it, etc.
•Mark 9
•Prayer allows us to seek God’s assurances with confident hope
•2 Cor. 13: 5
•Hebrews 6: 10
•Prayer allows us to reflect on our growth and be encouraged in our preparedness for God
•It’s hard to be useful to God if we constantly doubt who we are, the truth we know, our growth in Him, etc.
QUESTIONS:
- AS A SAINT IN YOUR OWN RIGHT, HOW DO YOU SEEK GOD’S FAVOR IN PRAYER?
- WHAT ASSURANCES WOULD BE PRODUCTIVE FOR YOU PERSONALLY TO MEDITATE ON?
- WHAT TYPE OF MISFIRE ARE YOU MOST VULNERABLE TO?
- HOW CAN YOU USE PRAYER TO STRNGHTEN YOU IN GOD’S WAY AND PREVENT “MISFIRES”?
