- We are heirs under the household of God
- We have a great hope and honor which is eternal life – and this is a quality of life, not just length

- The Holy Spirit indwells us in order to sanctify us
- Sanctification is the process of becoming holy and righteous–what God has declared us to be
- The Holy Spirit is the most misunderstood and misrepresented aspect of God
- He is a He, not an “it” or a force, but a Person of the Trinity
- In our circles of Christianity, He is often ignored too much
- But the Holy Spirit is arguably the most involved in our lives
- We should give glory to God for the work of His Holy Spirit
- Romans 8:1-4
- We’re condemned because we can’t keep the law, but we’re saved by grace
- A mind dominated by sin and flesh wars with God, and will never be right with God
- Living by the Holy Spirit means to think about and revolve around what pleases God
- These 2 contrasted realms are mutually exclusive and follow 2 totally different authorities
- We’re born hostile to God and must submit to God and His Son
- Ephesians 2 discusses this
- We are no better than non-believers, except for the work of God and His Spirit
- Ephesians 1:11-14
- Christianity is mocked because of our improper understanding of the Holy Spirit’s work
- But He is the One who unites us with Christ and ushers us into our inheritance and new life
- Galatians 5:24, 3,3–Paul is frustrated in writing this about their understanding of the Spirit
- Romans 8:8–The Holy Spirit is the same one who resurrected Jesus Christ
- We tend to feel underpowered in struggle–but this is to ignore the power we’ve been given
- Remember the nobility and victory that you’ve been given
- The Spirit who indwells us gives us the power and tools to follow the law of Christ
- What do we have to do? Simply believe, turn, and begin living like it
- John 6:61-63
- The Holy Spirit is in process of making us more like Christ, the model of God’s perfection
- We are no better than non-believers, except for the work of God and His Spirit

- WHEN YOUR SINFUL NATURE PULLS AT YOU, TO WHERE AND WHO DO YOU GO?
- ARE YOU GLORIFYING GOD BY YOUR TREATMENT OF THE SPIRIT OR DISHONORING GOD BY REMOVING OR IGNORING THE HOLY SPIRIT?
